I will start with Hunter and move on from there. The big guy turned 6 months old and is eating baby food now. He loves squash and pears and sweet potatoes. The suergon who saw him say there isn't anything they can do for his shoulder right now and that he wants to see him in March to do some more x-rays. They are hoping that some cartlidge in the area will fill in the gap that is there from the malformed bone. So he goes to physical therapy and she decided to tape Hunter's shoulder to help it from coming out of its socket. The taping works well on him and it hasnt come out nearly as much as it use too. We are not allowed to let him learn to crawl though cause there worry that the weight on his left arm will break his shoulder and his arm. So we have to police him and make sure he doesnt try to crawl. Which is hard cause he was so close to crawling.
I got rear ended when I was at a stop light in my minivan. The lady just wasnt paying any attention and smacked right into me going 20 mph. The only one of the kids I had in the car with me was Hunter at the time. Her excuse for hitting me was "I was in a hurry". So I been having fun doing lots of paperwork and going to the doctor. Hunter thankful was fine I took him to the ER right away I was so worried that it might of messed his left shoulder up. I sprained my pinky and got chest contussions and jammed up my whole left shoulder. They are very sure they will total out my minivan. My feeling are not all that hurt about that I wanted a different minivan anyways. I just have to do the whole car shopping bit I wont get lucky like I did with the van where I just bought it from Michael's Aunt.
Broc is starting potty training. Today he picked out his big boy underwear. He choose a disney pixar match. It has Cars. Toy Story, Nemo, and Incredibles. I am hoping that him potty training might make Peyton want to use the potty. As of now she doesnt she every once in a blue moon will actually use the toilet on her own, but other then that she just doesnt do it. We haven't pushed her in the potty training department cause we have been more concerned with her speech and other delays. Also the doctor said there was no point in trying to potty train her till she cant understand 3 steps commands and she cant quite do that yet. So we are hoping that Broc will take to training like a fish to water and make Peyton want to do it too. So wish me luck either I will be training one child or two children to use the potty.
The kids had a blast at Christmas. Broc loved the train table that he got from Santa. Peyton got a trike from her Grammy and Poopah (that is what she called grandpa she calls him poopah) They got a ton of other gifts as well but those were the ones the seem to take to. Peyton was real cute we handed her a present and told her who it was for and she go "Sam where are you" then find them and hand them there presents. I think of the 6 months that my husband as been away I think this was the time I felt the most lonely. Seemed that everyone had there someone but me and he missed the kids go crazy over there toys. I really missed him like the whole week. I hope the next few months past by sooner he says he might make it home as early as March but he will definatley be home by June. I hope he is home in March so that way he is home for our 5 year wedding anniversary. I still cant believe it almost been 5 years since we got married in the St Louis MO temple.
So poor little Hunter having quite a adventure. When he was born he came out kind of sideways so when his left shoulder start to pop and move around we all just thought it was just something he would grow out of from something that happened at birth. Well now that the he has gotten to be quite the big guy who moves around its just dislocates out its socket very often at least once a day sometimes more. So after this happened I took him to see his doctor and his doctor did some xrays and referred us to a occuptation therapist and to see a pediatric orthopedist. The therapist after hearing that Hunter was almost 6 months and the problem he had fit him real quick and saw us today and she took a look at his xrays that I brought with him and was flabbergasted so she showed it to another therapist who was also flabbergasted who promplty took it to a orthopedist surgeon that works on adults only and he wasn't sure what could be done to fix the problem with Hunter being so young. They then came back and told me that Hunter's ball and joint socket that is his shoulder and his humourus bone is anatomically abnormal. On one side where is suppose to be rounded its totally flat on the other side where it is rounded like it should it to long. So they would have to surgical correct it by grinding some down on the long side and building up on the side that isn't rounded. But since he is still growing it causes a problem. So on the 9th we will find out what the surgeon thinks.
