| An update finally! |
Sorry I know it's been awhile since I posted a blog having a new baby is my only excuse for it. On June 22 little Hunter graced the world with his presence. He weighed 8 pounds and 8 oz he was one big guy. He thankfully had no complications and was my healthy baby that broke the cycle by not having to go into the NICU. Broc and Peyton love to sit next to me or bounce Hunter when he is in his bouncy seat. Peyton loves to hug and kiss Hunter and she even wiped him once when I was changing his diaper. I think she will make a good Mommy when she gets to that age. Michael made it to Afghanistan he is at Camp Monti where he is NCOIC (non-commissioned officer in charge) of the medical first aid station there. Camp Monti is a combat outpost so they just use that as a jump point to send troops into combat areas so he triages all the soldiers that come in and stabilize them for transport if they need to go to a hostipal. He is has decided to learn Pashto in what little down time he gets. Pashto is the afghan native language. He is going to take some pictures of the surrounding area he says its a very beautiful area so I will post some of the pictures up. Peyton has made some major strides in the language department. Her speech therapist is quite helpful in giving us ideas to use to help Peyton learn to use her words and the add more words to her vocabulary. She is almost at 50 words now she is still far behind the other peers her age, but hopefully she will be able to close the gap with continued work. Broc is getting very talkative now he is working on catching up to Peyton. Broc is getting ready to go to Nursery in September I think he will enjoy it I just feel bad when it comes to snack time, because Broc never really stops eating. If anyone has food then he has to have it so snack time will be interesting. |
