Made it to Utah

Well we made it to Utah, it was a very interesting trip getting here. On our way here I got pulled over in Texas for speeding. Lucky for us I got off with a warning, because Michael said "I am in the Army stationed at Fort Hood." The kids did pretty good on the way here they watched movies on the laptop the whole way and played with each other or more like annoyed each other. After 2 days of driving we made it to Utah and were happy to be out of the car all the driving and stuff made us really start hating our car. So now we're here and Michael will be leaving June 4th to go back to Fort Hood and finish getting ready to leave to Afghanistan.

The Death Of A Best Friend

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say this. Peyton's best friend in the entire world died and she is so sad. Her woobie which as been through the ringer has finally succumbed to its many wounds and died. It is now in four pieces that not even the best woobie fixer could fix. I have tried to pass off the blanket that Broc has that is made of the same stuff off to her but she will not take it and is even now scouring the house looking for her lost friend. She has been taking that thing with us when we go out its gone to the store to Mc Donalds and countless other places with her always close at hand for when she needs the security of an old friend. Hopefully in time the new stand might come to be the same comfort as her old friend.

The First Blog

Well seeing as everyone seems to be jumping over to blogspot I figured it was time I jumped too. I dont make promises to be good at blogging often. I am way busy with a 2 1/2 year old with learning disabilities and a 1 year old who loves to cuddle and my soon to be other one that I am sure will complete the other two.
So the most recent thing I can think of to start my blog on would be the move back to Utah and Michael deploying to Afghanistan. I'm looking forward to moving back to Utah it would be nice to have family that can help with the kids while Michael is away. I think Peyton is looking forward to it too she keeps calling for Dot (dog) and says Papa (Grandpa). I think she will enjoy getting 2 seasons of skiing and to getting to do whatever other fun activities we find for her. She likes when Grams and I would take her to the library so I am sure that will be on the list. Broc I am not sure he understands, but I know as soon as Michael leaves Utah that he will have a hard time. He worships the ground Michael walks on he thinks the sun rises and sets on that man. He will be crying and then Michael will come through the door and then he starting laughing and running to Daddy. So I think Broc might have it rough trying to make sense of Daddy not coming home at the end of the day or seeing him in the morning sometimes.
I think Michael will have many learning experiences in Afghanistan. I think he will enjoy the challenge and getting to use medical skills that he been honing will be something he enjoys. I am not worried that something will happen to him he is a headquarters medic meaning he waits at the base for the injured to come to him so he wont see much of the front lines. I will count down the 15 months though and pray they dont extend it for another 3 months like a rumor that has been circulated. So there is the first blog I am terrible at grammar so if it bothers you I am sorry grammar is not my thing.
